What we don’t ask for
Are free Instagram followers safe? It depends on what the site asks for. SocialFollow doesn’t ask for any of these. If another followers site does, it’s after your account, not your username.
- No Instagram passwordYou make the 10 follows yourself, in your own Instagram app. There’s no password field and no “Log in with Instagram” button.
- No payment detailsIt costs 10 follows and nothing else. There’s no checkout, and no trial that quietly turns into a subscription.
- Nothing to downloadSocialFollow is an app that runs in your browser. You make the 10 follows in your own Instagram app.
- No surveys or captchasYour username is the only thing you type. You won’t hit an offer wall or a “human verification” step.

Everything we collect, and why
Your first round needs only your Instagram username. From your second round, we ask for an email address so we can send you a sign-in link. There’s no SocialFollow password to remember. The full detail is in our privacy policy.

How we check your follows without logging in
Nothing here signs in to Instagram as you. The check reads what Instagram shows any logged-out visitor, which is why your profile has to be public while you take part.
- 1
You follow 10 accounts
We show you 10 members of the network. You follow them in your own Instagram app, then confirm.
- 2
We read your public profile
We open it the way a logged-out visitor would and confirm the 10 follows are there. No login involved.
- 3
100 members follow you back
They’re real members with posts and followers of their own, and they arrive gradually, not in one jump.
- 4
We check again later
We look again after delivery. If the 10 follows have been undone, the 100 go back.
The full walkthrough, including how long each number of followers takes, is on how it works, step by step.
What we can’t control
A few things are outside our hands.
Instagram’s rules
Instagram writes its own guidelines and updates them regularly. How they apply to your account is between you and Instagram, so it’s worth keeping an eye on them. We don’t control that part, and we won’t promise an outcome Instagram decides.
Real people can unfollow
Every follower is another member, and real people can unfollow later. Some will, and no service can honestly promise otherwise. More on why followers drop.
Members see your username
The exchange works by showing your username to other members, and theirs to you. You can’t take part without that.
How to spot a scam free-followers app or site
You can usually spot these on the first screen, before you type anything.
- It asks for your Instagram passwordOr shows a “Log in with Instagram” button. A real followers site only needs your username. Your password gives them the whole account.
- You have to finish a survey firstSurveys, offer walls and “human verification” earn the site money each time you complete one. The followers usually never show up.
- It wants a card for a “free” trialIf a free trial needs your payment details, expect a subscription to start a few days later.
- It promises thousands of followers at onceHuge, instant jumps come from bot accounts, and Instagram deletes those in waves.
- It calls itself a generator or a hackNo tool can generate real people. A followers generator or an Instagram followers hack only ever creates bot accounts.
Are free Instagram follower bots real?
Yes, and that’s the problem with them. Free Instagram bot followers are automated or fake accounts, or follows run from your own account using your login. Instagram removes fake accounts all the time, so bot followers disappear in waves, and a bot that needs your password puts your whole account at risk.
SocialFollow is not a bot
- You make the 10 follows yourself, in your own Instagram app.
- Real members follow you back, each with their own posts and followers.
- Nothing logs in to your account or acts on your behalf.
Check your new followers yourself
Open a few of the accounts that followed you. A real account usually has:
- A profile photo
- Posts of its own
- Followers of its own, not just people it follows
- A username that reads like a person or a brand, not a random string
Why it matters: real accounts can see and react to your posts. Empty ones never do, and they tend to vanish in Instagram’s cleanups.
Shared your password with a site before? Do this now
- Change your Instagram password.Pick one you don’t use anywhere else.
- Turn on two-factor authentication.A password alone is then no longer enough to sign in as you.
- Review connected apps and websites. In Instagram’s settings, remove any you don’t recognise.
- Check Account Status. It shows whether any of your content was removed or your features are limited.

Safety questions
Is SocialFollow legit?
Yes, and you can check it yourself. Your username is all it needs to start: no password field, no payment details, nothing to download. Every follower is a real member whose profile you can open. Questions go to [email protected].
Can SocialFollow access my Instagram account?
No. Nothing here signs in to Instagram as you, and there’s no field for your Instagram password. We read your public profile the same way any logged-out visitor can, which is why it has to be public while you take part.
Are free Instagram followers safe?
It depends on what the site asks for. The unsafe ones want your password, payment details or a survey first. A site that needs only your public username keeps your login and your money out of it. What no site controls is how Instagram enforces its own rules.
Is there a free Instagram follower bot?
There are, and they’re the riskiest option. A bot either sends fake accounts that Instagram removes in waves, or acts from your account using your login. SocialFollow is not a bot: you make the 10 follows yourself, and real members follow you back.
Can Instagram restrict my account for using SocialFollow?
That’s Instagram’s decision, not ours. Instagram writes its own guidelines and updates them regularly, so it’s worth keeping an eye on them. We won’t promise an outcome Instagram controls.
How do I know if my followers are bots?
Open a few of them. Real accounts usually have a profile photo, posts and followers of their own. Accounts with none of those, and a username that looks like a random string, are usually bots.
Why did my followers disappear?
Usually because Instagram removed fake or inactive accounts, or because people undid follows they made to get a follow back. Why you’re losing followers matches the shape of your drop to its cause.
How do I delete my data?
Email [email protected] and ask. Tell us your Instagram username, and the email address if you added one. No purpose in our privacy policy needs your information for longer than two years, unless the law requires it.
Seen enough? Start with your username.
Your username is all it takes. Follow 10 accounts, keep them followed, and 100 members follow you back, with a new round every 24 hours. The full offer is on our free Instagram followers page.
Your profile has to be public. Undo the 10 follows and the 100 go back.
