Some companies make honest mistakes that cost them a good amount of their profits. Others try to scam and take away other people’s money for as long as they can before they get caught.

Rebranding is one of the most popular things to do in these and many more situations as it’s a way out that allows you to seamlessly continue with your business.

Social Package is one of those companies that just disappeared into thin air without any explanation for it.

There are companies that allow themselves something like this, and then there are those who don’t. Upleap is one of those companies that don’t allow any shutdowns, rebrands, and everything else that goes in that package. If you’re interested in what they have to offer, read our detailed Upleap review and see for yourself!

One thing that drives us crazy is that one day there were people that regularly used Social Package and their services, and the other day they were gone.

That’s not fair to the users that put money into that company and that used their service on a regular basis.

To be left without answers is not a comfortable feeling, and that’s why we don’t want to leave you without answers.

To find out why Social Package shut down and answers to some other questions like who are they now, you should probably just keep reading!

Is Social Package Shut Down For Good?

When companies make huge mistakes or get caught doing something they weren’t supposed to be doing, they get shut down or shut down themselves.

In these instances, the shutdowns are for good, and they probably never surface again since if somebody discovers their previous actions, they might get shut down again.

But, it seems that Social Package didn’t end up exactly like this.

They rebranded shortly after they got their whole website shut down under the name of Xplodemarketing.

This means that they didn’t do anything majorly wrong per se, but it seems that they had a good reason to shut down.

So is Social Package shut down for good?

This is quite common, especially if there’s no lawsuit or similar things involved.

What Was Social Package?

Social Package was one of many companies that offered services related to growing social media accounts.

The most popular service they provided was for Instagram, and it included followers, likes, and views.

Some of you probably already know, but for those who don’t, they also offered services for other social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat, LinkedIn, etc…

Usually, when companies provide services for such a wide variety of social media platforms, it can be a red flag.

It can mean that they didn’t specialize in any of them, so they’re selling services for every single social media platform that they could in order to maximize their sales.

We’re not claiming that this is exactly what was going on while Social Package was up and running, but there is a good chance that the truth was close to a scenario like this.

A fully functional company, in our opinion, needs to provide a fantastic service for one social media before they get onto the other ones. This allows them to maximize the output of high-quality service while leaving space for further development.

Was Social Package Any Good?

Just for research purposes, we interested ourselves to see how satisfied the customers were with the service while it was still up and running.

The best two websites for that are Sitejabber and Trustpilot.

Sitejabber turned out to be empty, which is not a rare occurrence, but Trustpilot had some things to share with us.

A screenshot showing a comment on Trustpilot talking about a negative experience a customer had while using the Social Package services.

You see, if this was a single comment that talked about a situation like this, it would still be concerning, but not as much as it is not since this is far from a single bad review regarding this company and the service they used to provide.

Let us remind you that these are real people telling their experiences with various companies, including Social Package.

Does this make Social Package a scam?

Well, we’d say so, since scamming can be interpreted as offering one thing and then delivering on the other, or delivering something that’s of much lower quality than it should have been.

There are countless examples of people having a bad experience with this company, so we decided to dig a bit deeper and see what some other parameters say about the quality of their service.

This is probably the reason why this company shut down since if customers continually have a bad experience with your service, the sales will inevitably drop.

Now, there’s one website that’s fantastic at telling you what’s the overall quality of the website and the service provided by it, and it’s called Scamadviser.

Sadly, when we entered the name of the service in question, the website was redirected to their new and rebranded Xplodemarketing website.

Surprisingly, this new website of theirs had an extraordinarily high trust score, but that doesn’t mean that Social Package did as well.

There are a few instances where people were so dissatisfied with the service they got from this company that they had to share it online.

Let’s take a look at another short review talking about their experience with Social Package:

A screenshot showing another review talking about a negative experience with Social Package on the official Trustpilot website.

We see a pattern here, and so do you probably. The refunds and customer support service weren’t the greatest in this company, and it seems that people often had a problem when dealing with them.

So is Social package a scam for treating their customers like this? We would say yes since customer satisfaction should be the first thing on the priority list of any company.

As a customer, it’s quite unpleasant to go through this process, especially considering the fact that you already gave your money to the company and that you’re missing the thing you bought with that money.

Social Package Review – Our Final Thoughts

It’s sad to see a company that had the potential to provide a quality service to their customers go down without any explanation and attached to such bad comments, but there’s always room for improvement.

Not taking into consideration the rebranding process, let’s see the pros and cons of once existing Social Package side by side:

Bad customer support
Bad refund policy
No explanation for the sudden shutdow
Generally bad reviews

As we’ve mentioned earlier, there’s always room for improvement, that’s why we hope that people from the former Social Package take the opportunity to improve and not fix the mistakes from their past as a brand new company.

Sometimes there doesn’t have to be a big reason for a shutdown, but the explanation always needs to be present.

For the companies that offer direct service to people, it is extremely important to have a good relationship with their users and to be upfront about things with them.

The customers always deserve an explanation!
